That’s right, FSI is officially supporting the Georgia Chain Gang. FSI has been a proud supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through Team in Training for many years. Team in Training (TNT) is an organization that helps train individuals for endurance events who in return raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. TNT’s power to generate funds and raise awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is legendary. That power is generated through the support and generosity of countless family, friends, acquaintances and even people who've never met the team. I have participated in numerous events in the past (marathons, triathlons, adventure races, etc), and so many of you have generously helped me with my fundraising efforts. While I am not participating in any current events, FSI will always feature and sponsor a current TNT racer who is. A friend of FSI, Jane Eastham, is FSI’s current featured racer and is on the team of cyclists who are in a race called the “Race Across AMerica (RAAM).”
Jane is on a team called "The Georgia Chain Gang". The race begins June 16th and the team will be traveling coast-to-coast, over 3,000 miles, on BICYCLES! Last year the team raised over $125,000, and this year they have challenged themselves to raise over $200,000 for LLS. The mission is to raise awareness of blood cancers and generate critical funds to help eliminate these diseases and prevent them from claiming more lives.
Please check out Jane’s donation page and make a tax-deductible donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and join their team's efforts to advance the research towards cures of all types of cancer. http://pages.teamintraining.org/ga/raceacro12/jeastham.
You can follow their team’s big adventure by clicking on the following links starting June 16th.
You can also track their progress, which predicts when they will finish and when they will pass each time station: http://www.raceacrossamerica.org/raam/rcracer.php?s_N_Entry_ID=2876&s_N_Year_ID=36.
And you can see how all the teams are doing and where they stand on this page:

Team in Training is an excellent organization that I would highly recommend to anyone who has ever wanted to participate in their first half-marathon, marathon, triathlon, century ride, etc. They train you and put you on a schedule that is easy to follow. Check them out at www.teamintraining.org.
